Thanksgiving

Today is a very special Thanksgiving to me 13 years ago i could not raise my head, i was real sick. Yeasterday i had my pre Thanksgiving  checkup my Blood Pressure was 127/74, and have lost 100lbs. God i have come a long ways, in 13 years.

To all of you i would say today relax and  enjoy yourself, because tomorrow is not a given. And please take care of your health.

Helping

Why do we go to church today, what are you there for. i see people in church enjoying the word, and after service rush pass you and turn their head to keep from speaking. I see pastors sit in the pulpit, and rush pass people to get out the door. I see pastors always begging for more money, so they and their family can live a great lifestyle. Their was a time when the church was their to help the people. Whatever happern to that.

Education Education.

Lack of education, and lack of discipline, is really pulling our young people down. Private Church  schools will allow Black people to get control of their children. We cannot let our race take a step backwards in time, because we want take control of our Young.

Confusion.

In the Black Church today there is much confusion over homosexuality. The Bible condems homosexuality. But there are men and women serving in the pulpit who are gay. Pastors and Bishops are trying to make their churches bigger and greater than the next. They are pushing more book and cd sales, and more conferences. But in reality the black church today will except money from you no matter what your sexual preference may be.

May i close by saying if all gays left the black church today, there would be no black church.

Teaching History.

June 19, 1865.

How many Black Churches are teaching history today. June 19, 1865 the day Black slaves in Texas Learned they were free.

Teach History. Bishops and Pastors.Whats wrong with our young do not ask teach.

We must never step back. Edcation is the Key.

Need of Funds.

To be all to everyone the Black Church needs funds. So please back your Church. We as Black people need the Black Church. Our Children need the guidance and discipline, that the Black Church can provide.

Free Clinics.

The Black Church Today needs to be in the Business of providing Free clinics for our Black people. We as a people suffer more High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and Heart Desease than anyother group. Our Black Church needs to be out front with leadership, on Health care, and Health Education. The Big 3 issues that we as a race of people are really falling down in  is Health, Knowing our History, and Education. We can and must do better.

Education Education.

I have spent quite alot of time on education. Education i believe is the one tool that needs to be reinforced in the Black Community. We know that Public Schools are failing our children. Our Black Boys are droping out of school at a alarming rate. Our Black girls are getting pregnant way too soon. Our children need educatiion. The prisons are becomming the new plantations. The Black Church needs to step up and Form Church schools. P-K thru 12th Grade.

Only we as a race of people can help ourselfs. Stop looking to others.

My last post i spoke of the Black Church and Education.

As i said Church Schools are the help that the Black Communities needs all over America. Our Children must know there History, and they must know how to research. Knowledge is power. Black America must gain control of our youth. For they are our future.

The Black Church has alot of work to do in the field of education. Lets face it public schools are failing our children. Here is a statistics for you to think about. 53% of black boys in America do not finish High School. But 80% of american prisoners are Black Men. Bishops and Pastors it would be alot easier to run Church schools, than it would be to turn our youth over to people who only want to degrade us. Iam going to stay on this subject for awhile, because its so important. We often speak of losing control of our children. We can regain that control back by establishing Church Schools. I will close by saying, if we do not teach our own, no one else will.

Introduction.

When i was a child growing up in the 50s, and comming of age in the 60s the Black Church was the beganning and the end for Black America. All the great civil rights struggles  started in the BlackChurch. The Black Church at one time was the glue that held the Black community togeather. The Black Church once pushed and set the agenda for Black America. But somewhere between the late 1960s and 2011. Disconnection  happern. We  as Black Americans need the Black Church to push the Black Agenda.

Well we will get this posting started by my asking two question, that i thank about quite often.

1 Would Jesus christ be welcome in the Black Church today.

2 Is  the Black Church Relevant Today.

I have thought about these two questions for sometime. My answer to number 2 is yes very much, the Black Church today has alot of work to do with and for Black America. As for number 1 i am not sure, some Churches maybe. Some Black Churches today are only interested in  the money.
