In my research on Black American History. I have just completed a posting part 1-2, on American Slavery and Christianity. The Black Church and American Black History are intertwined. The Black Church was born out of Slavery, and has always been the Backbone of Black America.

Introduction.

When i was a child growing up in the 50s, and comming of age in the 60s the Black Church was the beganning and the end for Black America. All the great civil rights struggles  started in the BlackChurch. The Black Church at one time was the glue that held the Black community togeather. The Black Church once pushed and set the agenda for Black America. But somewhere between the late 1960s and 2011. Disconnection  happern. We  as Black Americans need the Black Church to push the Black Agenda.

The Black Church.

Well we will get this posting started by my asking two question, that i thank about quite often.

1 Would Jesus christ be welcome in the Black Church today.

2 Is  the Black Church Relevant Today.

I have thought about these two questions for sometime. My answer to number 2 is yes very much, the Black Church today has alot of work to do with and for Black America. As for number 1 i am not sure, some Churches maybe. Some Black Churches today are only interested in  the money.
